OUR SERVICES
IMMIGRATION
Immigration matters affect all of our lives. There are many pathways to citizenship and many options available for individuals desiring to live and work within the United States. We will work to ensure your family unity and facilitate progress toward United States citizenship. Please call our office to determine whether you or a family member is eligible for an immigration benefit.
“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
-The New Colossus, Emma Lazarus, November 2, 1883
WORKERS COMPENSATION
The process of submitting a worker’s compensation claim can be daunting and overwhelming, especially at a time when you are physically impaired. Employers may discourage you from filing a claim, particularly if you do not speak English or if they assume you may not be documented. We are happy to walk you through each step of the process if your employer’s insurance company is making it difficult for you to receive compensation for medical care or offer you needed time off work to recover from a work injury.
VICTIMS OF ABUSE
Victims of a crime or victims of abuse may be eligible for certain types of immigration benefits. If you are a victim of domestic violence, or if you are elderly and your adult children are abusing you emotionally, physically, financially, or otherwise, federal laws will protect you regardless of whether your abuser is a legal permanent resident, a United States citizen, or is undocumented, and regardless of your immigration status. There are immigration benefits available to you if you are a victim of a crime or abuse.
Human trafficking happens all around us, even here in Southern Utah; we should not and cannot allow it to continue. Report any suspicious behavior to the National Human Trafficking Hotline (888) 373-7888 and call for a free consultation if you suspect that you or someone you know may be a victim of sex trafficking or human trafficking, or if you suspect an employer may be trafficking their employees. Federal law provides services and protections for victims of trafficking and also immigration benefits.
Do not be afraid to report a crime or any abuse that you are experiencing, regardless of your immigration status.
